Hi, I’m Alison -- Ali for short! I’m a New York native who ventured to Virginia to pursue a Public Relations and Interactive Design double major at James Madison University. I’m a content creator with a strong PR and branding mindset. Fueled by innovation and creation, I want to converge strategic communication and multimedia production to tell compelling digital brand stories.
As a senior writer for the culture section of JMU’s newspaper, The Breeze, I’ve produced over 30 articles for both print and digital. I also host a news reporting segment called "Quad Talks" for Breeze Video. In addition, I’m a member and the former public relations manager for an award winning A Cappella group, the BluesTones.
When I’m not writing or designing, I can be found singing, enjoying a pint of Ben & Jerry’s “Phish Food” ice cream and laughing at my own bad puns.
WHAT I DO.
From social media graphics to brochures, websites and apps, I create it all. I believe in curating content that engages and entertains while remaining on-brand.
My works range from feature articles, restaurant and music reviews, public relations campaigns, media pitches and more.
I’m a news reporter for JMU’s newspaper, The Breeze, where I host my own segment titled, “Quad Talks.” I love interviewing diverse groups of students about timely topics and stories.
